**Q:** I have installed RPManager on 3dsmax9 64 bit, and when trying to open it I get maxscript errors. How I can I resolve this?

**A:** Try setting the memory allocated to MXS itself much higher, in the standard 3dsmax preferences: preferences, Maxscript tab, set the initial heap size to 60 megabytes or more (default is less than 10). You will need to restart 3dsmax.


**Q:** Does RP Manager need to be installed on render nodes?

**A:** Not all of it - but there are some plugins, and a startup script.

Easiest might be to install RPM to a null directory (ie an empty dir), quick way to isolate the components. In the plugins dir of that null directory you should have

RPMPropHolder.dlo\\
RPMdlx.dlx\\
RPMMaterial.dlt\\
RPMFrameInfo.dlv\\
RPMdc.dlx\\

which should be on all slaves

RPM.gup is not required on the slaves, but if it is installed it will require Unikey.dll be installed in the root of 3dsmax too.

also in the scripts/startup there is just

RPMStartupFunctions.mse

that needs to be distributed.

No licensing is required for any of these plugins.

**Q:** Is there a silent install option for RPM?

**A:** The best way is to install to an empty directory - then you'll see exactly what needs to go where.
