Time signatures?

Hi, first off I did want to say that this program is pretty neat so far. One thing I was wondering though is how one would go about changing the time signatures on the music strip in the program? Prior to this I had been using a program called KTabS with a music box template which allowed you to go ...

Re: Time signatures?

Playing around with this more I may have actually answered my own question here. I'm guessing that it doesn't support setting these time divisions per say like in ktabs but just relies on using the grids to space out your note lengths across the entire score instead?

Re: Time signatures?

All right, that clarifies things a bit, thanks. The ability to set the spacing for the thick vertical lines might be useful for some people, though probably not entirely necessary. In my case I was going through and transcribing from sheet music scores which had changes in the time signatures so it ...

Apply time crash bug

It seems that if you adjust the tempo to zero and then apply the time to any pieces it freezes and eventually crashes the program. Was basically trying to take a section that was a little too close together (ie illegal notes highlighted). So I'd guess that this would probably either have to be done ...

Re: Help with making a midi file from a full score

I took a listen to the sound clip on YouTube and I expect that one might give you a bit of trouble since it's mostly vocals with some instrumental chords in it. Also, it's a 5+ minute duration song. There are some methods of taking an audio file and changing into a midi, though not so many are all t...

Re: Help with making a midi file from a full score

That clip is a definite improvement, still looks like it will need some adjustments here and there after converting it over to a midi. I'll see if I can't fix something up on it over the weekend if time permits, will keep you posted either way.

Re: How to glue strips together / Wie klebt man die Streifen zusammen?

What some places have suggested was to cut strips to have an angle at the ends and then use thin tape on one or both sides so that it feeds in a gradually line rather than one big fold. Granted if you were using pre-printed strips that could be problematic, but if you are transferring the holes onto...

Re: How to glue strips together / Wie klebt man die Streifen zusammen?

Sorry about that, I'll try and explain it better. Basically assuming you either have a number of blank precut strips, or have paper that you have cut into the correct width strips, you would cut an angle (45 degrees) into the ends that are going to be connected. After that you line them up even so t...

Re: How do I punch out cards?

If you have a lightbox (or can make one) then you can basically tape down and line up strips on top of the printouts so you can quick run through with a pencil/pen/marker and then proceed to cut them out. It's still not the fastest method, but certainly beats trying to manually draw them in (especia...

Re: How do I punch out cards?

I had bought a lightbox originally since they aren't too expensive these days for good bright LED versions, though even a simple incandescent bulb in a box with a sheet of glass or clear plastic on top would work (assuming you can get said bulbs, here everything is "energy saver" now which...
