MIDI import

Postby mbnewbie » Wed Dec 02, 2015 9:59 pm

I'm considering purchasing Music Box Composer. If I have a midi file, can it be converted to the music box 30-note format? Thanks!

Hi

The midi converter converts to the current format you have selected via the options, so yes.

One thing to note(!) is that after importing you can select all notes and then use the up/down arrows to globally shift the pitch (since many midi files are out of range or in the wrong r): MBC will store the value retrieved from the midi file and remap that to your pitch edits immediately after importing, but once you have saved it the values are clamped to what you see.

If you want to post a link to a midi file I can test it out for you first if you like.

cheers,
grant
