Just an idea: can we create an overwiew of what kinds of paperstrip-movements are owned by MBC-users, are/were in the market, produced by whom, distributed how, etc. ...

Depending on how historical you wanted to get this could end up being a long topic dating back to the early player pianos. I know for a time there were some 33 note movements by Sankyo, but they seemed to disappear not long afterwards. There also is a fellow in Japan that hand makes them as well in 33 note but I can't for the life of me remember who it was and don't have the website address anymore (didn't help that it was all in Japanese either). Several Chinese and Japanese companies continue to manufacture and sell the 15, 20, and 30 note movements including the versions that have motors hooked up (bought a few of those in 30 note). All of what's currently made can be found via Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Alibaba, ect. Some of the various companies include Teanola based out of England, Yunsheng based out of China, and Sankyo out of Japan.

Of course I don´t have player pianos in mind, but just movements being fed with strips, made by using MBC.
Googleing tells me, Nidec Sankyo - http://www.nidec-sankyo.co.jp - were producing 33-note (fully chromatic), 30-note (semi-chromatic) paperstrip-movements for relatively short periods in the nineties, and still make 20-note (diatonic) ones today.
Their strip-feeding mechanism seems to work with paper of various thicknesses.
The 20-note sankyo is offered today by http://www.spieluhr.de at a price of 35,22 EUR, as well as by http://www.leturlutain.fr at a price of 60 EUR, who also offer a 33-note sankyo movement at a price of 370 EUR - wondering, where they got them from: still in store for 20 years because of the price?
For sankyo movements I didn´t find any more source until now, do you have one to add?

Edit: Seems, I missed the 33-note music-box (sankyo movement built in a wooden box) offered by http://www.spieluhr.de at a price of 428,40 EUR. Sorry for that!

Found it again finally, the guy that made the 33 note chromatic music movements is Takkoman Harada in Japan. The website was at , but doing some rough translating via google they may not be made anymore.

Edit: Also found a former webstore for it where it also is noted they are no longer in stock...
