Exit Isolation

Is there a way to get RPManager to exit isolate mode when submitting passes or restoring vis/layer sets?
RPmanager used to do this in max 2014, but we have just jumped up to 2021 and keep being caught out by scenes left in isolate...
Any pointers welcome!
Cheers,
Olly

Thanks.
I did end up using that, but in a #preRender callback.
I have found the scripts tab doesn't fire when it comes to submitting jobs.
Grant, could you offer any way for maxscripts in the scripts tab to be executed on submission?
Cheers,
Olly

I will have to take another look at that then - it has been a number of years since I last tried and figured I was attempting something that it was not intended for.
Thanks for the heads up!

Sounds like something I should add to pass restoration, if a visibility set of any description is assigned - would you ever want to maintain isolation, does it need to be an option?

Thanks Grant.
For me, I would prefer to only exit isolation (if a vis/layer set is assigned) on preview or local/network submit.
Can you expand on when scripts defined in the scripts tab are executed?
From my experience the scripts only fire when you restore a pass in the UI and not when submitting to backburner.

Olly

I've added the isolate call in for the next build, when a vis set is restored (so it won't be called if no vis set).
Regarding the before/after scripts, they are part of the pass and are called for every restore whether when selecting a pass or during submission. You can test RPMrendSubmit.isCurrentlySubmitting in the script itself and have it not do anything if you didn't want it to run during submit.

Thanks on both counts Grant.
Did you see my post about nested layers?

You could give this version a go for the exit isolation fix.
http://www.rpmanager.com/installers/RPM ... p_7.12.exeAlso has some initial fstorm support.
